It is spring time and along with flowers comes ladybugs. Using the Your Story machine I created this cute ladybug book for the short one and the smallest one. I made a sewn red and black felt ladybug top for the front cover and then cut all of the pages out of white card stock in the round shape to match the top, next I illustrated each page with a story I wrote called Leatrice Loves Candy. I bound the edge of the pages using the Your Story and then finally glued the fabric cover on.

These are the individual illustrated pages of the story book

The gum drops and candies were cut on the Cricut and the “Yum” on the last page was created using the Country Life embossing folder on the Cuttlebug. The green line throughout is colored masking tape  — Happy crafting xoxo

Gift sets are fun to make for your gal pals. This project is a paper box and paper roller skates cut from Bazzil Basics Paper on the Cricut and embossed on the Cuttlebug. Craft foam was added to the roller skates for the wheels. The  nail polish and lip gloss have vinyl on them cut from the Cricut and then drawn on with a Wite-out marker. As an added bonus there is a Shrinky Dink charm cut on the Cricut and drawn on with Sharpie makers. For the complete tutorial click here: Paper Gift Box Set Happy Crafting – xoxo Lovely Lula

I thought I would share a couple of recent card designs I created. The two thank yous were in fact thank you notes and the bird card was part of a SWAP for Creative Escape for August 2010.

The state bird of AZ card was made using the 50 States Cartridge with my Cricut and the bird shape was cut from burnt umber cricut sticker vinyl and the AZ state shape was cut from Bazzill card stock.  The long No. 10 thank you was made by cutting the “thank you” out on my Cricut and the card stock was again Bazill, the flag paper was a scrap I had laying around and the tape is Japanese Washi Tape. For the pink card I cut a “thanks” again out with my Cricut, used Japanese Washi Tape, a Sharpie marker, a simple thank you stamp that I have had forever, I went around the “thanks” with a white out pen and then applied with Diamond Glaze. I finished it off by adding a foam craft heart and a hot rock.

Go make some cards now! xoxo Happy crafting Lovely Lula

Cute Easter chic or chick as the case may be. I just got my hands on the Cricut “Create A Critter” cartridge and had to bust out a super cutie Easter moment with it. I love the “accessories” on each of the critters.  So happy Easter and here is a card created using the “Chick” setting from “Create A Critter” and then I took my trusty fine point sharpie and hand drew on top to make it my own. Enjoy!
