Ideas For Home

During Christmas I made a Vintage Christmas Bulb Wreath and loved it so much that I thought why not keep going for all different holidays and times of the year. I had a great time making this one for Valentines Day and so I thought hey since I still have more bulbs around why not create a vintage bulb wreath for St. Patrick’s Day. I ended up getting this garland covered four leaf clover at Micheal’s for only five bucks. Then I used left over green and gold bulbs to cover it. Love and Luck O’ The Irish!!

After I created my vintage bulb Valentine’s Day wreath I had bulbs and glass hearts left over as well as a few other Valentine’s Day items that I put all together to create a vitrine and a vignette scene. Ahh love – plus pink and red oh my!

During Christmas I made a Vintage Christmas Bulb Wreath and loved it so much that I thought why not keep going for all different holidays and times of the year. I had a great time making this on for Valentines Day. I bought a heart shaped wreath at Joann’s and then loaded it up with red, white and pink bulbs along with metal and plastic hearts I had on hand. LOVE!  Next up St. Patrick’s Day – stay tuned for that in March.

Inspired by all of the mason jar Message In A Bottle crafts,  Halloween Vitrines,  Holiday snow globes and Terrariums that have been consuming me over the last year, I decided to create some Spring Vitrines. This is the first installment of the village I will create out of glass jars, cake and cheese covers, glass bottles and bells jars that were found at local thrift stores and junk shops. I am thrilled how these are turning out and it has me thinking about Easter and Valentines Day Vitrines. Stay tuned for that!

I was so inspired when I saw Georgia Peachez Vintage Christmas Bulb Wreath that I knew I had to gather up the vintage bulbs I had and make one. It is so pretty and I am so thrilled to have it as part of my holiday decor. Then totally inspired,  my mom and my neighbor, who is like a second mom both made their own versions. Here they all are:
