Costume Pearls Restyled

Do you have a stash of your mom’s vintage costume pearls lying around? Freshen them up and give them to her, restyled, for Mothers Day. This restyle project was inspired by a necklace spotted at Anthropologie with a price tag of $78. Make one yourself for just pennies. This is modeled after a collar necklace but with a twist.

Royal Wedding Inspired — Restyled Dress

Royal Wedding Fever – Wedding Dress Re-Styled

The Royal Wedding is just days away and since everyone loves a fairy tale, I used the Royal Wedding as inspiration to transforms a late 1980’s / early 1990’s style wedding dress into a contemporary wedding frock for a fun spirited occasion,  with a touch of the hottest wedding trend, black.

I put out a request on Facebook and the offers came — Spring cleaning I guess.

Two Shirts — Restyled

A plain T-shirt can be great when you feel like cleaning out your fridge, but if you have bigger plans, it might be time to shake it up a bit. And if you mix that plain tee with a worn-out blouse, you’ll have a winning combo for an all-new piece.

Pecan Salsa

Living in Phoenix it really is mandatory that we like Mexican food but with all the crappy chains around town we can often be fooled into eating fake versions of our favorites. One fav about town that is a must stop for their salsas is La Condesa. But is your want to save a buck then try to make their Pecan Salsa at home.

Blinged Out Sunglasses and Case

It’s nearing summer, which means sunglasses are no longer a fashion statement but a necessity. But let’s not let the personal style go.  I picked up a pair of bedazzled shades in Mesa’s The Goods Store and decided to use a little inspiration to jazz up my own pair (and an equally necessary carrying case) by adding a healthy dose of cabochons, which can found in many stores on Etsy and at local crafty spots including SAS.

Learn how I made them at my post over at the Phoenix New Times Jackalope Ranch blog post: Sunglasses, Restyled (Case Included)
