This was the short one’s Christmas present on Christmas morning. It is a 2 foot x 3 foot canvas painted pink and screen printed, using the YUDU, with a castle from the Once Upon a Princess Cartridge and the Cricut. I added embellishments along the top out of felt and a ribbon notion and I added in felt trees to the sides of the castle. We just recently saw the movie Tangled about Rapunzel so I decided to make her blond hair cascade down from the tower window, this was made by pulling apart yarn and tying a bow. The short one was so thrilled that we had to stop everything and hang it up in her room above her bed.

The gifts are all wrapped, the stockings await the stuffing I declare it to be time to settle in for a sip of spiked eggnog. Yum! See some of my gift wrapping favorites, crafty style. I used everything from newspaper to school writing paper, paper table cloth, legal ledger paper, contact paper and wall paper. I stamped many of them with rubber stamps and ink. The bows vary from ribbon to tinsel to chair canning and bakers twine.
I took my the short one to see the Broadway production of How The Grinch Stole Christmas at Gammage and was so inspired by the set design that I had to make a holiday decoration Dr. Suess style. I loved the wreath in particular so I decided to whip one up! I used the Cricut to cut the shapes and then hand drew on the holly leaves and the bow.

I made a cute little chicky Christmas Stocking for the Smallest One (my 1 year old) using the Cricut with the Create-A-Critter cartridge for the birdy and the Tie the Knot cartridge for the crown. I pared these with wool felt and a few fun embellishments to make a cute little stocking. When my oldest daughter, The Short One, was born four years ago I made one for her too so now it is a tradition. Oh what fun!
