I had a stretched out, plain, pink t-shirt that I decided to give a re-style to. I cut the shirt up the front and pulled it in together to “tighten up” the shirt and then sewed it back together.

I cut a piece of pink patterned fabric and ironed it into a pocket shape. I cut a squirrel on my Cricut using the Create A Critter Cartridge out of black construction paper and used that to burn a screen on my YUDU. I then screen printed the squirrel onto canvas in pink ink on the YUDU. I ironed it to the pocket using Heat-n-Bond and then sewed the squirrel pocket to the t-shirt.

Now I have a re-styled, new feeling t-shirt in pink to celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness month.

I had a great time visiting my local dollar store. I was immediately attracted to a turnstile filled with blue and white nautical looking scarves. I also found blue, white and red undies and thought hey why not make it a total project runway moment! So I used the fabric from the undies and the lace trim. I backed the fabric with wonder under and cut the snail on the Cricut using the Give A Hoot Cartridge and the house using the Heritage Cartridge.

For this month’s new Hello Thursday cartridge Ornamental Iron 2 I created a Southwest style mirror.

I started with a 12 inch wooden hoop and covered it with heavy orange upholstery fabric and then glued a round mirror in the center with E-6000. Using the Ornamental Iron 2 cartridge I cut the Southwest looking design out of aqua card stock and attached it to the fabric using permanent spray mount. To finish it off I attached Imaginisce Hot Rocks.

My family has a tradition of a “Learning Pillow-Case” that I am continuing with the girls. The idea is to work on learning something and when the lesson is fully learned you get to reach into the Learning Pillow-Case and select a prize. This Summer the short one is learning her ABC’s. So I created a pillow-case that says LEARN and ABC cut out of backed fabric using the Recess cartridge. Oh what fun we are having!

I love the new Sweet Shop cartridge for the Cricut. I used it to cut wool felt shapes of sweet treats and created them into lapel pins. Such a fun way to say I heart sweets!
