Oh how I love the jewelry! So I thought it time to share a little neck candy. I had a fantastic time making this necklace. The owl is created by using the Provo Craft owl flourish cuttlebug embossing folder on thin copper. The moon is cut out of orange felt using the Provo Craft Funky Circles Die for the Cuttlebug and the copper embellishment on the plaid covered button is made by using the Provo Craft Polka Dots Embossing Folder for the Cuttlebug. The yellow felt flower petals behind the button is made using the Provo Craft Scribble Flower Die for the Cuttlebug. I loved playing around with the plaid fabric accents here and there too! Ever since the winter Olympics I have been mad for plaid. Click here to download the Owl Necklace How To also if you want to shop for this necklace or other Lovely Lula creations visit the Lab5Shop
To celebrate spring time I made a girls pillow-case dress, inspired by the book “Craft Challenge: Dozens of Ways to Repurpose a Pillowcase†by Suzanne J. E. Tourtillott
I started with a vintage pillow-case that I found at a thrift store for a buck ninety-nine. I added in a second vintage/ used pillow-case also purchased at a thrift store that had a print. I used the Cricut Forever Young cartridge and several of the flower dies for the Cuttlebug to make appliques. Â The full how to is located in the downloadable PDF below titled Pillow-case dress. This is a one day project not including the thrift shopping which I encourage you to do often because there are so many goodies to be had at thrift shops and yard sales.
The things you’ll need for this project include:    vintage/used pillow case(s), sewing machine, thread, scissors, Cricuit, Cuttlebug, chalk, no-sew tape, iron, fusible interfacing and Velcro or buttons.
Enjoy making this project and happy crafting! Lovely Lula

I used a plain, boring Easter hat that I found at the Target dollar section and created a vibrant, flower filled, hat that any youngster would be excited to wear this spring. My daughter, who is four, helped me put it all together and since this is her hat to wear I was so excited that she participated. Click on the How I did it PDF below to make one of your own!
I whipped up a little St. Paddy’s day Pin to wear. It is made mostly from Provo Craft Cuttlebug Dies. Check out the “How To” below and make one for yourself. It is so super cute it could really be worn year round too!
