Ideas Of Offerings

This summer we are having summer camp at home. Each week has a different theme filled with activities, crafts, food and field trips related to the theme. This past week was Week One and it offered a theme of Circus and Carnival. Here are a few images from our week. Our Field Trip was to a permanent carnival here in Phoenix called the Enchanted Island built in the 1940’s.

I am teaching a hands on screen printing workshop for freezer paper screen printing, and for the YUDU screen-printer. This is a super fun and messy creative process, so bring an apron the rest of the supplies will be provided. This workshop is for tweens and will be held in Glendale, AZ at the Sahuaro Ranch Park in the Historic fruit Packing Shed. To sign up visit: The City of Glendale

The weekend before Christmas I did a workshop with Free Arts tween and teen girls. We worked with the ideal of visual art memory journals. Because it is time to think about New Year’s Crafts, Journals and logging events and activities. What will you keep note of, of this past year?  I created a book with the New Year in mind. I will use this as a journaling book for the next few weeks as I write and doodle about 2011.

I used my Cuttlebug and the Clockworks Embossing Folders to pull the details of this journaling book together. Once it is complete I will bind it on my YourStory. Here’s to the New Year.

Happy crafting xoxo

We have people that come and do every craft and stay for the full ten hours – feel free to join them in the fun. Stay at each table as long as you’d like working on your craft. Also, each teaching artist will be selling kits of their crafts so if you like what you made – buy a kit as a gift!

We’ll have food menus for you to order meals, plus coffee, pastries and hourly raffles. We’ll also have a sound system set up for crafty storytelling, holiday carols and a fun music playlist!
