When I was in college I used to make painted floor cloths all the time but it had been years. I was inspired of late to get back at it. However, instead of hand painting the whole deal I painted just the background color and then used the Cricut to cut out a tea set from the Heritage Cartridge. I then used the YUDU to screen-print the tea set design onto my floor cloth! So Happy – I love it! This little yummy greets you at my front door as you enter my house. It is hard to tell in this shot but it is 5.5 feet long by 2.5 high. For a tutorial click here:  Tea Set Floor Cloth How To. Happy Crafting xoxo LL

“What do I do if I’m not chasing anything,
What do I do if I’ve got everything that I need,
It’s a question that no one’s prepared me to answer.”
Daniel Nahmod

Luckily my friend Viva opened my eyes to Pinterest the other day. So I can now make digital wish lists and inspiration boards. So now I’ll always be on top of those things I really need. Like the ice-cream making attachment bucket for my Kitchen aid Mixer. Just saying!

Playing with the sheets of shrink plastic is fun times! I made this super cute house ring. Those most important thing is just to remember scale because the plastic shrinks 75% or so. To glue the house to the band I used E-6000 glue which glues together anything but silicone. The second photo is the underside of the ring which I glued a piece of felt to to soften the blow in case I hit my hand down too hard on a table so I don’t crack the plastic. So fabulous and so fun to wear!

Several months ago I found this great piece of  vintage fabric at a thrift store. It has been hanging out waiting to become something and finally it spoke to me to become a cute little embroidery piece. I used a basic embroidery technique of just following the lines and filling in the areas with different colors. Cute, simple and ready to frame.
