The short one’s hair is finally getting long enough to put a ponytail holder in it to make pig tails. She is a drama girl who likes to pretend she is a rock star. Gramma got her a rock and roll guitar for Christmas so she needed the accessories to complete the look. I used my Cuttlebug to emboss metal stars for the center and and neon yellow felt for the outer flower shape. I made two of these, one for each side of her pig tails.

This was the short one’s Christmas present on Christmas morning. It is a 2 foot x 3 foot canvas painted pink and screen printed, using the YUDU, with a castle from the Once Upon a Princess Cartridge and the Cricut. I added embellishments along the top out of felt and a ribbon notion and I added in felt trees to the sides of the castle. We just recently saw the movie Tangled about Rapunzel so I decided to make her blond hair cascade down from the tower window, this was made by pulling apart yarn and tying a bow. The short one was so thrilled that we had to stop everything and hang it up in her room above her bed.

I just had to post about all the t-shirts I screen printed for my girls, the nieces and friends kids. I used my YUDU, the font Chalkduster along with the Hello Kitty cartridge for my Cricut and Wings from the Rock Princess Cartridge. For each child I printed the year they were born as Est. Two Thousand and ______ (fill the year in) and for some of them I also printed the state they were born in. Then I added a hello Kitty on the bottom and wings on the back. I am so pleased with how they turned out! I wish I could give them to them at a different time of year when I wasn’t competing with toys! Ah well . . .
NOTE: For the boys I did cars and dinosaurs (not shown here)
Are you wrapping a lot of gifts this year? Then you know the gift wrap can cost as much as the gift sometimes when you factor in the cost of a gift box, wrapping paper, tape, tissue paper and the ribbon it adds up quickly. So it’s time to get thrifty and crafty with your wrap.
Instead of using paper this year get really thrifty and shop thrift stores and yard sales for vintage and previously owned scarves. These can serve as both the wrap and the bow. You can use knitted or fleece scarves too which might be a good option for the men folk on your list.
